Hey, Ben here,

If you’re searching for the best way to fix hemorrhoids, then I’m glad you’ve found this website and I strongly suggest you keep reading…

Because this is my uncensored story of how I fixed my hemorrhoids. It’s about what I tried, what didn’t work and eventually the one thing that did help me sort out the problem…

Click here to see what I found to be the best way to fix hemorrhoids.

If you’re anything like me then you will know the discomfort, pain and downright inconvenience that’s hemorrhoids cause. Then there’s the worry of something more serious, especially when you get blood showing when you go to the toilet. Sometimes it’s been quite a shock to see the water turned red with blood. Add to that the embarrassment of discussing your piles with others.

I first got hemorrhoids when in my twenties, some time ago now unfortunately, I used to cycle to work and had a sedentary job but I was never sure what caused hemorrhoids. I was fit and healthy and not overweight.

Of course, I visited the doctor and was given a rectal examination (not the most comfortable thing in the world) and then I was prescribed some hemorrhoid cream, I think containing some form of steroid, as a hemorrhoid treatment. A week or so later they were gone… at least for then.

Since that time the problem has recurred and I have gone back to the doctor several times, particularly when there was a worrying amount of bright red blood showing on the toilet paper or in the toilet bowl.

Again and again I was given some ointment to soothe the symptoms but there was never any real solution offered to cure my hemorrhoids. It seemed to be accepted that it was just a common thing that would hopefully clear itself up over a few days.

Hemorrhoid Travel Woes…

Then, not so long ago, I was on a trip to Asia. The diet available was quite different to what I was used to and after 10 days or so I developed the worst case of hemorrhoids I had ever experienced.

Not only were they swollen and painful, I couldn’t sit normally. I tried a local pharmacy and bought some hemorrhoid cream but it wasn’t at all soothing and I think it only made things worse…

After enduring a couple of days of this I had to take the 13 hour flight home and it was the worst trip I’ve ever had. I couldn’t sleep and had to keep changing my sitting position from one side to the other because I couldn’t sit squarely in the middle. That was the last straw.

I determined I had to sort this out and fix my hemorrhoids once and for all…

After searching online I was finally lucky enough to stumble across a solution to fix hemorrhoids, I couldn’t believe how well it worked and I think it’s great that I haven’t had any recurrence in well over a year now.

The solution I found offered lots of great advice and perhaps there’s too much. I also think the information could be better presented but I guess if they only presented one or two possible solutions they wouldn’t suit everyone. I’ve made a couple of videos to help you get an insight into both the causes of hemorrhoids and some ways to fix hemorrhoids for good. You can find these below.

I’m not a great one for hype so product sales letters tend to turn me off. The main thing that convinced me to try this solution was the sheer number of positive testimonials they had that appeared genuine to me. Maybe one day I will suffer again, but I believe that if I stick to the recommendations I found I think I’ll be fine.

Americans only eat half the amount of fiber that’s recommended. It’s little wonder there is such a high incidence of hemorrhoids.

As you may know eating a high-fiber diet combined with an adequate water intake can make stools softer and easier to pass. This reduces the pressure on hemorrhoids caused by straining. Fruits are one of the food groups recommended as being high in fiber.

But the questions remain are:

Which fruits are high in fiber?

How much of them should you eat?

Today I want to look at which fruits are rich in fiber. I’ll also give you a guide as to the average amount of fiber in each of 10 fruits so that you can answer these questions for yourself in conjunction with the guidelines for daily dietary fiber consumption.

10 Fiber Rich Fruits To Help Fix Hemorrhoids

I’ve done some research[i] and come up with this list of ten fruits that are high in fiber. I’ll list the amount of fiber in grams per 100 grams of the raw fruit so that it’s easy for you to compare.

Avocado 6.7

Blackberries 5.3

Coconut Meat 9.0

Cranberries 4.6

Dates 8.0

Guava 5.4

Kumquat 6.5

Loganberries 5.3

Passionfruit 10.4

Raspberries 6.5

Tamarind 5.1

Other common fruits such as apples, pears, persimmons, many berries and citrus fruits also have good levels of fiber although not as high as the above.

Recommended Daily Fiber Intake

Americans only consume about 15 grams of fiber a day, well below the recommended daily fiber intake for adult males of 38 grams and for women 25 grams[ii]. So now you can work out approximately how many fruits you need to include in your daily diet.

It’s worth noting that you also get other massive benefits by including these in your daily diet. Awesome levels of essential vitamins and minerals, a natural energy boost plus their great taste. Compare all that to a pill!

I will shortly be doing a similar guide for you on vegetables. I hope you found this information useful. I wish you good health.

Are you already suffering from hemorrhoids?

If you’re anything like me, getting hemorrhoid treatment that works can be a prolonged and frustrating journey.

So what’s the first thing you should do?

Most likely the very first step is check out your own diagnosis with your medical practitioner to confirm your assessment and ensure you aren’t suffering from some more serious ailment. Also you will be seeking some medication to provide some immediate relief from the uncomfortable and even painful symptoms.

However, as you may have already discovered, most of the prescribed hemorrhoid treatments don’t turn out to be the answer you’re looking for because they don’t provide both an immediate and a permanent solution.

What you are likely to find is that your hemorrhoid treatment medication will depend on the symptoms you are suffering from.

What this boils down to is that you are going to get treatment for the symptoms you are showing for the problem instead of the underlying causes of the problem itself. Hemorrhoid symptoms include things like bleeding, pain, itchiness, and discomfort due to swelling resulting from blood clots.

This may result in your hemorrhoid treatment addressing the alleviation of those symptoms. Consequently the underlying cause of the problem isn’t tackled. This may not be a problem if you are among the fortunate for whom the hemorrhoids disappear naturally. If this is the case then symptom relief may be enough to get you through your period of discomfort.

Hemorrhoid Treatment Examples

Examples of hemorrhoid treatment targeting symptoms are various topical ointments and gels that are readily available. These may include some form of pain relieving analgesic for addressing pain symptoms the hemorrhoids may be causing. These treatments can be reasonably effective in the short term although others prefer to take their pain relief in pill form such as Panadol or Aspirin.

In addition, there are several alternative ointments and gels that can help with the other symptoms such as swelling, itchiness and general discomfort of the hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoid treatment aimed at reducing the size of lumps from blood clots, include hydrotherapy. This procedure can relax the blood vessels around the affected area and help to relieve the pressure they cause. Over time, the lump is likely to reduce in size until it is no longer noticeable. However, as with many of these types of treatments, they may not produce the relief sought.

Hemorrhoid Treatment Of Symptoms Limits

What’s important for you to understand about hemorrhoid treatment that only addresses your symptoms is that it isn’t a long term solution. Consequently, if you are a chronic hemorrhoid sufferer then you should investigate alternative treatment solutions if you want to cure yourself completely once and for all.

You will now be aware that symptom based treatments have their limitations. You will need to decide if they are adequate for your situation and the frequency with which you experience recurrence. If they do the job that’s awesome! However if you need a more comprehensive hemorrhoid treatment then investigate some of the other alternatives because there is good information available!

As my personal recommendation see this comprehensive approach to hemorrhoid treatment.

There are many arterial blood vessels in the anal area to supply the muscle tissue around the anal canal and this blood supply is readily available to hemorrhoids. If you suffer from internal hemorrhoids you will know that the colour of the blood from anal bleeding is usually bright red indicating it is arterial blood.

You will also know that there can be quite a lot of blood appearing in a short space of time but it usually stops quite quickly. However it is possible for this bleeding to be more serious and prolonged if the damage is greater to the hemorrhoid though which the blood vessels pass.

Causes of Blood Stool from Anal Bleeding

In the case of internal hemorrhoids the damage to the tissue can become more frequent as the hemorrhoid gets bigger. This is particularly so if you are constipated and straining to pass the stool when the hemorrhoid tends to get swollen and distended with blood. As the stool passes by, and particularly if it is the hard stool associated with constipation, the hemorrhoid can be damaged and results in the rupture of the blood vessels.

Diagnosis of Feces Blood

Your medical professional has to rule out other causes of feces blood when diagnosing your problem. This is because other sometimes more serious conditions can cause hemorrhoid-like symptoms. These conditions include inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancers as well as anal fissures and infections.

It is normal practice for the medical professional to rule out bleeding from the colon by conducting a visual examination using a special tool because its possible for colon cancer, polyps or colitis to cause this bleeding as well.

An anus lump (or anal lump) can form in an external hemorrhoid when blood clots inside of the hemorrhoid. This is known as a thrombosis and can be very painful because the area has many somatic nerves. Somatic nerves are like the nerves of the skin and sense pain unlike the visceral nerves of the anal canal which only sense pressure. The discomfort often results in the need for medical attention.

Treatment of an anal lump will depend on it’s severity in terms of the amount of pain and the extent of the swelling the blood clot causes. If the condition is only mild then you can be treated with sitz baths and bulking up and softening of the stool through increased dietary fibre.

If the pain and swelling are severe enough it may be necessary to remove the blood clot. This can be done under local anesthetic. A small incision is made in the hemorrhoid and the blood clot removed. A small bandage will be put on the hemorrhoid to stop the bleeding and prevent the blood clot from reforming.

When thrombosed hemorrhoids heal it may result in some scar tissue and leave a tag of skin protruding from the anus. Sometimes this may be a source of irritation when the tag is large enough because it can make cleaning of the area difficult.

Caution: Any anus lump needs to be checked by your medical professional and it should not be assumed to be a hemorrhoid since there are rare cancers of the perianal area that can appear as external hemorrhoids.

“What are hemorrhoids? A precise definition of hemorrhoids does not exist, but they can be described as masses or clumps (“cushions”) of tissue within the anal canal that contain blood vessels and the surrounding, supporting tissue made up of muscle and elastic fibers.” Medicine Net, Inc.

“Hemorrhoids (AmE), haemorrhoids (BrE), emerods, or piles are swelling and inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. The anatomical term “hemorrhoids” technically refers to “‘Cushions of tissue filled with blood vessels at the junction of the rectum and the anus.”[1] However, the term is popularly used to refer to varicosities of the hemorrhoid tissue.” (Ref. [1] MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia). Wikipedia

“What are hemorrhoids? The term hemorrhoids refers to a condition in which the veins around the anus or lower rectum are swollen and inflamed. Hemorrhoids may result from straining to move stool. Other contributing factors include pregnancy, aging, chronic constipation or diarrhea, and anal intercourse. Hemorrhoids are either inside the anus—internal—or under the skin around the anus—external.” National Digestive Diseases Clearing House (NDDIC)

If you suffer from them like around 50% percent of the American population by age 50 then you already have a grasp of the discomfort they can cause.

The left hand side shows the internal hemorrhoid cushions, now enlarged internal hemorrhoids as prolapsed hemorrhoids. This is the term for when they swell up and extend through the anus.

The left side also shows enlarged external hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoid symptoms

Hemorrhoids usually are not dangerous or life threatening. In most cases, hemorrhoid symptoms will go away within a few days. Although many people have hemorrhoids, not all experience symptoms. The most common symptom of internal hemorrhoids is bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper, or in the toilet bowl.

However, an internal hemorrhoid may protrude through the anus outside the body, becoming irritated and painful. This is known as a prolapsed hemorrhoid (or protruding hemorrhoid). Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus that results when a blood clot forms. This condition is known as a thrombosed external hemorrhoid.

In addition, excessive straining, rubbing, or cleaning around the anus may cause irritation with bleeding and/or itching, which may produce a vicious cycle of symptoms. Draining mucus may also cause itching.
